IMCSA TECH Digital literacy and education for grade 1 to 7 learners

IMCSA TECH’s CSI Programmes for grade 1 to 7 in township schools in partnership with MTN, SA Navy, Skillwise, Huawei, Standard Bank & Liberty Life digital literacy Proposal

Programme Overview:
IMCSA TECH, intend to partner with MTN, SA Navy, Skillwise, Huawei, Standard Bank & Liberty Life to implement a comprehensive Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme to improve digital literacy and education outcomes for grade 1 to 7 learners in township schools.

Programme Objectives:

  1. Improve Digital Literacy: Equip learners with basic computer skills and digital literacy.
  2. Enhance Education Outcomes: Improve academic performance in core subjects such as mathematics, science, and language.
  3. Promote STEM Education: Encourage learners to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
  4. Bridge the Digital Divide: Provide access to technology and digital resources for disadvantaged learners.

Programme Components:

  1. Digital Literacy Training: Provide basic computer skills training for learners.
  2. Online Educational Resources: Offer access to online educational resources, including e-books, educational games, and virtual labs.
  3. STEM Education Workshops: Conduct hands-on STEM education workshops for learners.
  4. Teacher Training and Support: Provide training and support for teachers to integrate technology into their teaching practices.
  5. Infrastructure Development: Upgrade school infrastructure, including computer labs and internet connectivity.

Implementation Plan:

  1. Needs Assessment: Conduct a needs assessment to identify participating schools and learners.
  2. Programme Design: Design the programme curriculum and materials.
  3. Teacher Training: Train teachers on the programme curriculum and materials.
  4. Learner Training: Provide digital literacy training and STEM education workshops for learners.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the programme’s impact and effectiveness.

Partnership with MTN, SA Navy, Skillwise, Huawei, Standard Bank & Liberty Life

  1. Financial & Non Financial Support: We intend to approache above mentioned stakeholders to offer financial and non financial support for the programme.
  2. Technology Infrastructure: MTN and Huawei will have to provide technology infrastructure, including internet connectivity and devices.
  3. Expertise: Huawei, MTN and Skillwise will provide expertise and resources to support the programme’s implementation.

SA Navy, IMCSA TECH, Standard Bank and Liberty Life will provide PS Navy training Infastructure, Drone Design and Coding Programme and PS Navy uniform to eliminate crime, bullying and introduce Navy basic training for school children in schools.

Expected Outcomes:

  1. Improved Digital Literacy: Learners will demonstrate improved digital literacy skills.
  2. Enhanced Education Outcomes: Learners will show improved academic performance in core subjects.
  3. Increased STEM Education: Learners will demonstrate increased interest and participation in STEM education.
  4. Bridging the Digital Divide: Learners will have access to technology and digital resources, bridging the digital divide.
