Kirkwood Libraries Pilot Project
The IMCSA TECH/SRVC Rural Libraries Pilot Project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at digitalizing public libraries in Eastern Cape, South Africa. This project is a collaborative effort between IMCSA TECH, Sunday’s River Valley Collaborative NPC (SRVC), and international partners.
Project Objectives:
– Provide stable connectivity to rural libraries in Addo, Kirkwood, and Paterson
– Offer comprehensive technical support through the IMCSA TECH/Partnership
– Enhance digital skills and access to technology for young people in the region
Key Initiatives:
– IMCSA TECH/SRVC EKIT TESTING WORKSHOP: Provided hands-on training and learning opportunities for young people from local schools,
– Digitalization of Libraries: Aimed at bridging the digital divide and promoting access to information in rural communities.
– Youth Empowerment: Focused on equipping youth with digital skills and knowledge to drive progress and development.
Partnerships and Funding:
– Funded by Sunday’s River Valley Collaborative NPC (SRVC) and international partners
